How Did SteelGrip SAMM Come Into Being?

SLIPS, FALLS AND FATIGUE. As a teen, President, Neil Warner started out building pole barns. He saw many workers quit. The stress of trying to hold oneself on the roof as well as the actual construction made for long exhausting days and dangerous conditions.



After 36 years as a painting contractor he was still challenged by unstable footing when trying to reach, paint, and safely protect peaks and dormers. He and his friend Greg Tulpa had the idea to use material backed with magnets to hold workers and their tools in place.

They were thrilled with the breakthrough of SAMM mats. Great for painters, steel roof installers, construction companies and homeowners.
